Abdelhaq elbekkali_Photo ELBEKKALI Abdelhaq
is a chartered accountant and a full professor at the University of Sherbrooke (Canada) where he teaches the financial audit and the IT audit. He is a holder of a PhD in finance and tax system and of another PhD in business administration, accounting and financial audit. After a few years of practice in accounting, in tax system and in audit, he dedicated himself to education and research. He is the director of the Master’s degree in Governance, Audit and Safety of IT of the University of Sherbrooke. Mr Elbekkali is a member of several professional associations in audit and in governance of IT among which, the IIA (Insitute of Internal Auditors) and the ISACA (the Information Systems Audit and Control Association), of which he is Academic Advocate. He is also in charge of the professional examination in advanced audit for the Order of the professional chartered accountants of Canada (Order of the CPA). In 2005, Mr Elbekkali was crowned Personality of the year in information security by the Association of Information Security of Montreal Métropolitain (ASSIM). In September 2008, Mr.ELbekkali published a book entitled ” Gouvernance, Audit et Sécurité des TI ” (Edition CCH).

Latif is also Member of the United Nations Strategy Council, member of the 3GPP PCG Board (www.3gpp.org ), Vice Chair, IEEE ComSoc CIIN, Chair of IEEE ComSoc IOT, member of the Future Internet Forum EU Member States

Currently full professor at the University of Illinois at the Department of Information and Decision Sciences, College of Business Administration, and at the Computer Science Department, College of Engineering at Chicago – USA, Also, he is the  director of the CISORS (Cooperative Information Systems and Organization Research and Services) Lab. He received his M.Sc. in 1981 and the PhD degrees in computer science from Northwestern University in 1985. Aris has been the recipient of numerous grants from US federal, state, local agencies, and private enterprises on information economics : business intelligence, big data/analytics, … , as well as a grant from the French Government on CyberSecurity.
